Parliament Provides Stepping Stone for Foundation
Australasian Rail Safety Week was launched in New Zealand last week at Parliament in the Banquet Hall. The launch saw Kevin Ramshaw from ONTRACK host the evening with speeches from Ontrack’s William Peet, Minister of Transport Safety Harry Duynhoven, Joe Garbellini from Toll Rail and Patrick Jackson, Charity Manager of the Chris Cairns Foundation.
The Launch in Parliament also saw the unveiling of the print advertisements, radio and TV ads which will be played and displayed during the National Rail Safety week which started on Monday the 23rd of July.
The Launch was also a stepping stone for the Foundation’s launch of the Billboard Campaign which we have been working on over the last couple of months. On the 19th of July these billboards were launched in Palmerston North at the Toll Rail site.
The billboards are located through out the central and lower North Island. The sites are:
Mangaweka, Tangiwai, Dannevirke, Shannon/Opiki, Levin and Woodville.
